Quality Control Supervisor Job at Ricca Chemical – Arlington, TX

REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or science related field or equivalent experience required

Experience: 4-6 years of experience in quality control analytical laboratory or regulated manufacturing environment preferably in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry. Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards, cGMP/GLP regulation and laboratory sample processes

Physical Requirements: This position requires a person to be able to speak, write and conduct business in English. This person shall also have sufficient eyesight to read business documents and properly fill out appropriate Quality System Records and Forms. This person may be required to occasionally lift up to 70 pounds

Mental Requirements: This position should be able to understand and then follow written and verbal work instructions and quality system procedures without direct and constant supervision after the initial training period is successfully completed and documented. This position should have sufficient mental capacity to accommodate and successfully implement changes in work tasks and quality system changes when required.

Working Conditions: This position may be working on the Production Floor under various indoor environmental conditions, including supplemental heating in the winter months and without air-conditioning in the summer months. The position may also be expected to work with some concentrated forms of raw materials, hazardous chemicals and where appropriate personal protective equipment, such as full-face respirators, face shields, and aprons.

TASKS AND DUTIES

 Adhere to all ISO 17025 Standards

 Purchase equipment, materials and laboratory supplies following budgetary guidelines

 Make decisions and suggest appropriate actions to accommodate and successfully implement changes in work tasks and the quality system when required

 Ensure the policies and procedures for the specified testing align with 17025 requirements

 Calculate ISO 17025 technical requirement (equipment factors), and efficiently make decisions to complete testing protocols  Make detailed observations, analyze data and interpret results

 Review of data obtained for compliance with specifications and report abnormalities

 Maintain laboratory logs and calibration program for laboratory equipment  Address OOS investigations, root cause analysis, calibration/qualification of equipment an any laboratory problems

 Assist in technical complaint investigations and development of new methods and technologies

 Adhere to company performance goals and objectives (MBO’s)PERJ012 Rev 4 Page 2 of 2

 Perform Round Robin testing as required

 Provide supervision for Chem Techs & QC Chemists, manage PTO, work flow, output

 Gather metrics and monitor performance for department personnel

 Perform other duties as assigned relating to the quality control laboratory

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
