We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join us as a Manager of Raw Material Life Cycle Management to assist with coordinating key change management activities that affect raw material risk mitigation.

The Manager, internally known as a Manager of Supply Chain, will use their knowledge of open and closed upstream and downstream manufacturing and supply chain raw material life cycle management processes and interdependencies. This opportunity will allow the Manager to leverage their broad knowledge to coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders to obtain completion projections for key activities within the raw material life cycle. As a result, the incumbent will have demonstrated experience putting risk mitigation plans in place leading to strong interdepartmental relationships.

Responsibilities of the Manager of Raw Material Life Cycle Management include:

Supports development of end to end, phase appropriate, raw material lifecycle

Assist on raw material risk mitigation by analyzing and interpreting large data sets to develop data-driven business solutions

Leads Raw Material projects in collaboration with GRMT/GRMC

GPLM part creation in collaboration with Sourcing and end users, as well as coordination with SQM on supplier qualifications, site extensions, and KIR completion timelines as they impact timelines and inventory strategy

Collaborates with SQM for SIC & SCAR implementation and disposition strategy

Coordinates with MSAT/PD/Product Lifecycle management on testing plans and requirements

Change Control ownership as necessary

Coordinates with MSAT/PD/Product Lifecycle management on testing plans

Understands of Kite’s GMP and non-GMP raw material planning and buying process, S&OP forecasting and demand process and how it impacts raw material planning, Master Data Management process, including GPLM and the roles for key stakeholders (Sourcing, SQM, GRM&R, etc.), OT and PVM processes with regards to raw materials, and Kite’s manufacturing and QC testing process and requirements with regards to raw material usage

Basic Requirements:
MA / MS with 5+ years of Supply Chain and/or Operations and/or Raw Material and/or Purchasing experience


BA / BS Degree with 7+ years of Supply Chain and/or Operations and/or Raw Material and/or Purchasing experience


High School Degree and 11+ years of Supply Chain and/or Operations and/or Raw Material and/or Purchasing experience

Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years’ Pharmaceutical Supply Chain and Purchasing experience

Professional certifications (e.g. CPM, CPIM) and Membership in Professional Associations (e.g. ASCM)

Knowledge of GMP purchasing processes and requirements

Experience with optimization and statistical data analysis tools

Knowledge of sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier management

Strong understanding and use of eProcurement solutions

Ability to analyze, summarize, and present insights based on the needs of the audience

Exceptional understanding and application of Procurement principles, concepts, practices, and standards (i.e. effective negotiation, supplier relationship management, business partnering, supplier diversity etc.) along with an in-depth knowledge of industry practices

Ability to develop business cases and champion opportunities with quantifiable financial benefits

Demonstrated experience in identifying and utilizing full set of levers to drive value for customers

Ability to conduct benchmarking to address cost, quality, risk and innovation considerations

Proven experience with internal stakeholder management, data/information management, category management, process redesign and continuous improvement expertise, project management and performance measurement skills

Familiar with smartsheet and data analytics platforms

Ability to establish credibility and influence with diverse audiences and be perceived as a lead

Procurement process knowledge, contract management, financial analysis, market analysis, supplier analysis, supplier diversity, supplier management, technology utilization, strategic planning and integrated supply chain experience

Strong project management and organizational skills
