Position Summary:
We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a Credentialing Coordinator I focused on our Anesthesia Service Line. The Credentialing Coordinator I ensures that all Providers are processed and credentialed prior to their start dates (i.e. Credentialing support of Employment, Hospital, and Licensing Applications). The Credentialing Coordinator I maintains communication with internal and external customers (MSO’s, Client Service, State Boards) ensuring accuracy of the Applications (its Affiliates, Managed Entities etc.) and creates efficiencies for the on-boarding process.
This Credentialing Coordinator I position is offered on a Remote Centric Hybrid basis. We expect the Credentialing Coordinator to primarily work from home. You may be required to come to the office from time to time for meetings.

Responsibilities of a Credentialing Coordinator I:
Complete, review, and notify all new hires and additional locations and boards for credentialing and re-credentialing applications within established timeframes with accuracy and thoroughness.
Ensure that the MSO (Medical Staff Offices), and credentialing database are updated and current.
Ensure that primary source verifications occur for internal processing as well as external customers (i.e. MSO’s & State Boards).
Provide timely follow-up to obtain documentation required.
Credentialing (within 180 days) & re-credentialing within 36 months.
Coordinate internally to ensure complete information is received.
Ensure credentialing & re-credentialing is processed in accordance with NCQA and Company standards.
Assist and prepare for NCQA audits.
Adhere to Information Security Policies and ensure that Envision is as secure as possible.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for a Credentialing Coordinator I:
To perform this job successfully, a Credentialing Coordinator I must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Able to communicate and present information to a wide variety of parties effectively, and work well in a team environment.
Able to meet established production and quality goals and metrics in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Able to take direction, quickly adapt to established guidelines, and be self-directed.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Able to effectively prioritize work on a daily basis and follow up on open items in a timely manner.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
1+ years’ experience as detailed above.
Proficient with Microsoft 365, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook; Credentialing softeware; and Internet savvy enlough to conduct research using various websites.
Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) through the National Association of Medical Staff Services is a plus.
